Album Photography
This portfolio showcases album photography and in particular the album Spirit by Preston Reed . I am grateful to Preston for his permission to reproduce this here on my site.
All of the images were made in the spirit of a true collaboration. Black and White photography has a particular appeal and I hope that you will enjoy these images which capture the spirit of a warm, humourous, spiritual and generous man as well as one of the world’s most talented virtuoso guitarists and composers.
I wish to thank Simon Johns of Clear Sound and Vision for his great design and layout. I also want to thank Bill Shanly of Cauldron Recording Studio, Dublin, for making me feel so welcome there in the making of these images. It was a real pleasure to spend time with him and his team at work with Preston.
Last but not least, I want to especially thank Preston's manager, Cath Maguire, for her sensitive intelligence and overview of an evolving creative process that has yielded such a deeply satisfying outcome. Thank you.
